LETTER
TO PRIME MINSTER GORDON BROWN9 Station
Cottages, Brampton Road Huntingdon PE29-3BW 27/7/8
The Prime Minister
10 Downing St London SW1 Dear Prime
Minister, As you are presently so unpopular, it occurred to me that you might
be getting incorrect information from your advisers. I therefore find myself in
a position to offer you information that might help you to realise just where
you have gone wrong.
I will list the areas of public concern so that,
if you have time, you may be able to make a few amendments to legislation that
could possibly improve your standing with the general public. Many people
think of you as public enemy number one, with some justification, and I hope to
be able to give you guidance as to how to overcome this blight on your reputation
in this correspondence. However, it might be too late to save your Soul and
you will, one day, have to face the Almighty to explain why you and your Party
lied to the British people, made the Queen break her Coronation Oath, and harmed
the unity of the United Kingdom. List of
Unpopular and/or Harmful Measures Forced on the UK and its People. Ratified
the Lisbon Treaty/European Constitution. Lied to the British People when promising
a referendum. Sold UK gold when at its lowest value to please Brussels. Ignored
the good people of the North East when they voted NO by a ratio of 4:1 to a North
East Assembly. Caused alienation between Scotland, Wales, and England. Reduced
England to Regions controlled by Brussels. Legislated to make English University
Students future Debtors Made English taxpayers subsidise Scotland, Wales and
Northern Ireland. Proposed legislation to make the poorest people even poorer.
Taken credit for controlling the UK economy by borrowing heavily so that the
UK has its largest ever international debt. Allowed Scottish MPs to interfere
in England's affairs. Together with Tony Blair engaged the UK in an unnecessary
war killing tens of thousands of Iraqis and well over one hundred British men
and women. (You and Blair should do at least six months service in Iraq to get
a sense of the horror of your decisions) Allowed European Union Law to be
paramount in the UK. Done nothing to prevent British market traders being
taken to court for selling fruit and vegetables in pounds and ounces, when that
is what their customers ask for. Allowed British traditional units to be assigned
to the scrap heap. MPs vote to scrap the gallon and the acre and use only
metric units in official documents. Allow bonuses of obscene value to be paid
to executives and top administrators whilst keeping the lower paid workers to
pay rises of less than three percent. MPs vote to keep their snouts in the
trough, as usual. Disgraceful vote in parliament not to give itself power
to over-rule European Law when it is not in the interests of the British people
or the maintenance of the British constitution. Sneaking a copy of the ratified
Lisbon Treaty/European Constitution off to Rome. Many instances of the Labour
Government getting funding for the Labour Party by dubious means.
Upon
reflection, I think your record is so bad, that I don't think I can help you to
get out of the blues.
Perhaps it really is time for you to go and retire
North of the Border where you might just get a position with the Scottish National
Party who appear to think they can get independence for Scotland within the European
Union. How's that for a novel concept? Wishing
you a speedy exit from office.
Yours sincerely, Derek Norman. (Mr) |
LETTER TO THE
PRESS: To
the St Albans Review about a new native species forest which is planned
by the Woodland Trust for Hertfordshire. It is planned to be bigger than Sherwood
Forest. To: revieweditor@london.newsquest.co.uk
Dear Editor I have mixed feelings about the large new native species
forest planned by the Woodland Trust on land between St Albans, Harpenden and
Wheathampstead. My first reaction was positive, thinking that we need as many
native trees as possible. But taking into account the world food crisis my opinion
has changed. Britain needs to produce as much of its own food as possible. We
are presently around 60% self sufficient in food but historically it has been
much higher and could be again. Taking hundreds of acres of pasture land out of
production will not help matters. Improvement of hedgerows and planting of new
hedgerow trees is the way forward -- not the afforestation of productive land.
We have come to believe that there will always be a constant stream of foreign
food imports into Britain but opposition to Free Trade principles of free global
movement of goods, people and capital is building in poorer nations which realise
that the actions of the World Trade Organisation have damaged them. Food security
is more important than trees. Robert Theobald
